You should try Uptown: www.uptownloungenyc.com/. 3rd between 88th & 89th. Big menu, lots of variety. Very Good!

You should try the "Island Restaurant". It's on Madison between 92nd and 93rd (only a few blocks from the Guggenheim Museum). Great american and seafood type fare, but great quality! I would highly recommend the pumpkin cheesecake if it's an option still for dessert.
